The multi-state Mega-Millions lottery jackpot has soared to nearly a quarter-billion-dollars.
It reached an estimated 207 million dollars after there was no jackpot winner in Tuesday's drawing.
The cash option stands at 130-million dollars, with the big drawing set for tonight.
Mega-Millions can be played in 12 states. The only one that neighbors Arkansas is Texas.
On Wednesday, the Powerball lottery announced there was a big winning ticket in its latest drawing.
It was sold in South Carolina and contained the winning numbers 14, 24, 31, 43, 51 and the Powerball 27 to snatch the estimated 250-million-dollar jackpot.
That's the tenth-largest jackpot in Powerball history. The current Powerball jackpot has now been reset to 20 million dollars.
Powerball is played in 30 states, Washington, DC and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The Arkansas Lottery Commission decided earlier this summer to join the Powerball lottery.
Tickets will be sold in Arkansas starting on Halloween (October 31).
