Today's Mega Millions Jackpot Hits $330 Million
Friday, August 31, 2007 posted 10:03 AM EDT
If the winner or winners tonight elect to take a lump sum, it still comes out to more than $190 million and that's got players excited in the 12 states that play the game.
New Yorker Nicole Washington says she would buy a home. John Tear says his game plan includes a house at the beach for himself and other family members.
If no one wins tonight, the jackpot would climb again and lottery fever would be all the hotter next week. The long odds don't seem to cool it down any. An individual's chance of winning is about 1 in 176 million.
Mega Millions tickets are sold in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington state.
