WINNING MEGA MILLIONS TICKET SOLD IN BAINBRIDGE, GA

One single winner for Friday's estimated jackpot of $163 million Mega Millions drawing was picked in Bainbridge.
The winning ticket is an annuity winner, which means the winning ticket holder or holders have taken the obtion to have 26 annual payments in equal installments, as opposed to a single check worth the cash value.
This means the lucky ticket holder or holders walks away with more than $6 million a year (before taxes) for 26 years. If the winner had selected the single cash value, the single check would have been more than $94 million.
Georgia winners have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
Also, any the retailer in Bainbridge will also receive a $25,000 retailer incentive bonus. Which store it is is not available yet Saturday morning.
The jackpot began rolling over on Aug. 1, which rolled over 12 times. The last winning ticket was on Aug. 1 for $31 million in New York.
The odds of winning the jackpot prize are approximately 1 in 175 million, which the Mega Millions is played in 12 states, which include besides Georgia, Virginia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Washington state and California.
