Langhorne woman wins Powerball $1 million

A Langhorne woman won $1 million in the April 22 Powerball drawing with numbers matching all five white balls, the Pennsylvania Lottery said yesterday.
Patricia A. Rich had 04-05-06-18-27, but not the red Powerball, 24, to win the prize, less 25 percent federal withholding. She was the only Match 5 winner in Pennsylvania for the drawing, the lottery said.
Rich said she selected her ticket numbers using her children's and grandson's birth dates. She bought her winning ticket at Trevose Beer & Soda, 550 Andrews Rd., Trevose, which will receive a $5,000 bonus. Matching five of five white-ball numbers without the red Powerball number is normally worth $200,000. However, in the April 22 drawing, winnings were multiplied five times for players who purchased the PowerPlay option, because 5 was the PowerPlay number randomly selected prior to the drawing
