Powerball ticket worth $667,000 sold in Appleton

Someone who purchased a ticket in Lincoln, Neb., won the record $365 million Powerball jackpot Saturday, but had not yet come forward Sunday.
Someone who bought a Powerball ticket on Appleton’s east side also fared extremely well, winning $667,142.
According to the Wisconsin Lottery, the local ticket was purchased at Appleton Motomart, 3400 E. Calumet St.
Gary Bowman, a night clerk at Motomart, said late Sunday that to the best of his knowledge, no one had come forward Sunday to identify himself or herself as the holder of that ticket.
The Appleton ticket — and another sold at Seversin’s Service Center in Madison, won $200,000 for matching the first five numbers, but missing the Powerball.
The two tickets won an additional $467,112 each in Match 5 bonus money.
In addition, a ticket purchased at OM International, 1920 E. Wisconsin Ave., Appleton, won $10,000.
The single ticket matching all five numbers and the Powerball was sold at a a U-Stop convenience store in Lincoln, Nebraska Lottery spokesman Brian Rockey said.
It was the biggest jackpot on record for any lottery in the United States.
